2. Eligibility and Verification

  • Age Requirement: You must be 18 years or older to create an account on CitizenU. This ensures a safe and responsible community environment.
  • Verification: All users must verify their identity to join CitizenU. Verification helps maintain authenticity by preventing fake accounts and bots. Please provide truthful and accurate information during verification. False information may lead to account suspension or termination.
  • Location: CitizenU is based in India but serves a global community. Please ensure your use of the service complies with your local laws.

3. Your Account

  • Account Creation: Creating an account is simple—verify your identity, and you're ready to join.
  • Account Security: You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. Do not share your password with others. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.
  • Account Responsibility: All activities conducted through your account, whether authorized by you or not, are your responsibility.

4. Your Content

  • Ownership: You retain ownership of the content you post on CitizenU, including photos, videos, Klacks (short-form messages), and other materials.
  • License to CitizenU: By posting content, you grant CitizenU a license to use, display, modify, and distribute your content as necessary to operate and improve our services. Refer to the detailed legal terms for full scope.

5. Prohibited Conduct

Community Standards

Respect others and follow all applicable laws. Prohibited activities include, but are not limited to: - Abuse, harassment, hate speech - Sexually explicit or pornographic content - Illegal or harmful activities Violation of these rules will result in immediate content removal and may lead to account suspension or permanent ban.

6. Content Moderation & Safety

CitizenU maintains a strict zero-tolerance policy toward objectionable content and abusive behavior.

  • Users must not post abusive, defamatory, hateful, or harassing content.
  • Users must not share sexually explicit, pornographic, or inappropriate material.
  • Users must not promote violence, illegal activities, or harmful behavior.

We use automated systems and user reports to detect inappropriate content. Content identified as violating these rules may be removed immediately without prior notice.

Users can report, block, or hide content and other users directly within the app.

We review reported content and take appropriate action, including removal of content and suspension or permanent banning of users, within 24 hours.

Users are solely responsible for the content they post on the platform.

7. Intellectual Property

CitizenU owns all original content, branding, and features of the platform. Unauthorized use or reproduction is prohibited without our prior consent.

9. Termination of Account

  • User-Initiated: You may delete your account at any time through your account settings.
  • CitizenU-Initiated: We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or our policies. We prefer to keep everyone happy, so let's keep things respectful and safe.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms periodically. We will notify you of any significant changes—no surprises.

13. Miscellaneous

This agreement constitutes the entire understanding between you and CitizenU regarding your use of the service. If any provision is found invalid, the remaining provisions will remain in effect.
